Getting To Know Train System

In Malaysia, the biggest train station is "KL Sentral" . Its like King's Cross in the United Kingdom underground. KL Sentral has everything, from KL (Kuala Lumpur) city train network, express train to the airport, taxi station, bus to the airport and intercity train to other states of malaysia.
Lets just discuss the train system within KL city here, which are the KTM Komuter, Rapid LRT, Monorail, Express KLIA & KLIA Transit.
This is very important especially for tourist, the more information you can get before arriving in Malaysia, the better it is for you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So what are these systems all about?

1) KTM Komuter
- basically this is the overground train system, covering kl city stretching to adjacent states like Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
2) Rapid LRT
- this is a combination of underground and aboveground train system covering the most of KL city.
3) Monorail
- this is an aboveground train system with the least total station, covering mostly the "golden triangle" of KL city.
4) Express KLIA
- this is the overground train system built to connect between KL Sentral to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) only. Passenger can travel between these 2 stations vice versa. Passenger can even check-in their luggage from KL Sentral and travel to KLIA for boarding then.
5) KLIA Transit
- this is the overground train system built to connect between KL Sentral to Low Cost Carrier Terminal Airport (LCCT, mainly for AirAsia), where there are several stations in between them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So all these train systems are connected to one another via KL Sentral.
Other stations are not connected to one another completely (all 5 systems) like KL Sentral has, for example, Bank Negara station (Komuter) is connected to Bandaraya station (LRT) only.
